Hey, Everyone all you know that this New Year 2025 is so special that in the first month of Jan it is very imp for Hindu perspective. In Hindu calendar Jan is also pronouns to ‘Magh’ in hindi language. This festival is called ‘Kumbh Mela’ is an important Hindu pilgrimage celebrated every 6 & 12 years this correlated with the partial revolution of Jupiter. Kumbh is held on four pilgrimage sites like: Prayagraj, Haridwar, Nashik & Ujjain. All 4 of these are holy places in India [Ganga, Yamuna & mythological river Sarasvati]. It comes in a frequency of 3, 6 & 12 yrs it is known as [Kumbh Mela, Ardha Kumbh Mela & Purna Kumbh Mela] respectively.
This festival is traditionally credited to the 8 century Hindu philosopher & saint Adi Shankara, as a part of his efforts to start major Hindu gatherings for philosophical discussions. According to the Indian Authorities, more than 200 million Hindus gathered for the Kumbh Mela in 2019. This number was insane for the people gatherings in society at a one place. This year it started in Jan 13 to Feb 26 2025 on the Triveni Sangam at Prayagraj. It is to be run for 44 days. Everyone is so excited for this ‘Maha Kumbh’ that not in India alone foreigners are also visit to India for this epic festival.
